Halloween 2009

Halloween was great! But there are almost no good pix, so some narrative is in order.

First, let it be known that Julie worked feverishly to find a furry costume that could be altered to look like a capybara, and she succeeded grandly. Elijah was delighted to go trick or treating as the world's largest rodent. Julie also worked for hours on a soot gremlin hat for Oscar, which he adamantly refused to wear. As you can see from the pictures, Julie also did an amazing job painting Totoro pumpkins.

The big news is that Elijah LOVED Halloween and trick or treating this year, and so did Oscar, who was amazed and delighted by the idea that candy was to be had at every doorstep.

We all had a great time!
